this is a wolf angel & it eats the people it's supposed to help. A wolf angel is not a good angel to have looking out for you.

It's funny how a number of us on the net seem to cycle at the same time. Obviously, it can't be pheromones at work! I wonder, perhaps, it's that one's moods shift over the course of the cycle, and when you find someone whose moods match yours, you feel more of a connection to them than you might otherwise?

Where are the ethno-biologists when you need them?

Hmph. So the distance from California to Quebec means I can't blame your pheromones for changing my nice 6 week cycle into a 4 week one? Maybe I should just take a leaf from Harrison and blame Michelle; she is a little closer, anyhow.

I wonder -- I mean, just the law of averages would say that a bunch of women you know would have their periods at the same time, but who knows. If you give me time, I could make up a just-so story about why, too.

Me too, and I'm on the other side of the Atlantic!... except I miss out on the pre-menstrual hormones bit for some reason (for which I'm eternally grateful) and I forget the calendar and it takes me by surprise every month when suddenly OW OW OW in the archives or the office or some other totally inconvenient place and I pray that I'll have some ibuprofen in my bag... which fortunately I did this afternoon.

It's very funny how the most commented (and most quickly responded to) posts are my menstrual ones. Maybe I should make a new category for it -- go with the flow?

I was actually sort of anticipating it, because I got it a day or two before we left Hawaii (early ! No fucking fair!) and that was a month ago, and my cycle got shorter. It's -- I think -- the first time I've EVER anticipated it, so I am all about the proud right now.

Of course, I didn't anticipate it THAT much: I had neither pills-of-joy nor tampons on me, or even in the car. But I take what I can get.

Just back from the sticks (<i>les paysages</i>? ). Can you convert from base 17 to base 5 easily? Without going through base 10? If so, have any clever way other than "duh, of course this is how it works" because my students are having the worst time with converting between bases.
