Desserts
So tonight: peanut butter chip & chocolate chip cookies, or Nanaimo squares? The first has the virtues of satisfying a craving and being less sweet, the second the virtues of being easier to make and being more sweet.
Update: made the cookies. I wasn’t in the mood for Nanaimo bars, which is weird, since I’ve had a background craving for them for ages. Maybe next time.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what are Naniamo squares?
Even without knowing, peanut butter and choco chip sounds really yummy right now.

A graham cracker/nut crust, with some incredibly sweet creamy topping, with chocolate on top. It’s delicious. Mmmm. I think it’s also only Canadian, but it shouldn’t be, because everyone else is missing out.

I’ve heard of Naniamo squares, though I’ve never made them. Yum!

I’ve actually only ever made them from mixes — the only thing — because they’re a lot of work to make, so said the recipes. But they’re really good — now I regret not having made them.
