Sartorial advice for the young ladies
I think Uggs are hideous, but I can accept them in the winter, because I can pretend you actually wear them for the warmth, not the faux-cool. But now, when you wear them with your mini-skirts? Uggs are over. Uggs should never have been big, but it is now spring, and when people see you, they don’t think “Oh look, how stylish this girl is!” they think “moron”.

Maybe you should start a collection to take out an ad in Teen or Sassy or In Style or whatever these people read because you are so right about Uggs.

I had to google to see what you were talking about, but now I get it. How about Uggs with short shorts?

I wore fake Uggs all winter as slippers at home.
Ugly, but comfy. I’d never wear them in public.

There is a reason Uggs share a syllable with butt-ugly. I never got why they suddenly became stylish; it’s not like they’re THAT different from other boots people’ve worn in the past, just a bit uglier. And I’m a fan of ugly-cute, but not for shoes (though slippers are fine, and for boots functional beats attractive: but these people are wearing them for neither reason).
Sadly, no one listens to my advice.
Cougar, people totally wear that. It’s very sad.
Jo(e), I’m all good with wearing them as slippers, or however you want to wear them as not-a-fashion-statement. But if it’s cold enough to need to wear them in public, your legs better also be covered.
