Upgrading, a bit
I am in the process of upgrading and finally figuring out the stupid blog-by-email that never worked for me before. I’m at 1.5.1.3, and it seems to be working correctly with all my changes saved, so now I’m downloading WP-Cron (since I do not intend to figure out how to do a cron job yet) so it will automagically check for emails to my secreter-than-secret email address. Here’s hoping.
Update: same problem as before. I set up an email address, I have the right username and password, but when I go to the page which should check for new mail, I just keep getting this: “There doesn’t seem to be any new mail.” But there is, because I sent some. Argh.
Update 2: fixed it! Now I just need to set up the plugin. This means I will be able to blog from all sorts of locations, just by sending email.

You know, I totally forget. I think it’s that my email username (in Options > writing) is supposed to be username@calltherain.net, not just username.
