Cute cute tummy fur! I’m sorry that she got grouchy, cats don’t seem to understand that our lives are not about making their lives better — that sometimes we have needs too! And funny how waking them up can make them upset, and yet they don’t seem to remember that and have empathy for us as they are whacking us in the face to attend to their needs at 4am (which for my cat means she needs kisses at 4am).

Cute kitty. I love that cats are so self-focused: it’s all about them. Reading a book? I don’t care. I want to sit on your lap. Sleeping? So what, I want to be petted. Going to the bathroom? So what, I want to drink from the sink. Gotta love their attitude.

What do you mean our lives aren’t just about making cats happy? I do love that bit about cats. It also means that when they do come to comfort you, it mean so mch more.
