Rreading bbooks
Today I finished Jasper Fforde’s new book, ‘The Big Over Easy’. It’s less laugh out loud funny, but in a way I am preferring it to the Thursday Next books because it’s about mysteries and nursery rhymes, and I catch many more of the references. I am incredibly curious about why Fforde is so fond of Richard III, though.

I’ve only read the first Thursday Next book, The Eyre Affair. For some reason I feel like its competition is Willis’s To Say Nothing of the Dog, and the former suffers by comparison to the incomparable latter, which you should read if you haven’t.

Oh, I felt it was not in competition with that book (which I have also read, and yes it is better.) But I rather enjoy Fforde’s work.
