I do not have very much to say right now. (This usually precedes me saying a lot, I know.)
I am tired and sad, and finding it very hard to cope with mortgages and other such things. I am making it all worse by avoiding it, of course. It is harder still since I am not home.
I do not really want to talk about any of this. Or maybe I do. I do not know what I want.
This is the last in my series of cat posts until I return home. She was being remarkably nice to me in allowing me to take all these photos: she is a shy, anti-camera cat.

Do not hold one while you’re (a) waiting for someone or (b) having a conversation. Everyone else in the hotel should not have to wait for you.
Oh, just take the photo and leave me alone already.
During the bar mitzvah today, the Canadian contingent got to light a candle, and they played O Canada. (Other songs: Macho Man, Pretty Woman.) My grandfather started singing, so we all joined in. But we only started singing halfway through, and so no one could quite remember one or two of the lines (I think the one about the True North strong and free, perhaps), so there was a bit of mumbling. Oh well. I do know the hockey version, but only the Quebec style.

I just got my period. Very bad timing, though.
Today I am feeling much more self-hatred than usual. Am I more stressed than normal people would be? Am I worse at dealing with it? Am in, in short, just plain crazy?
I don’t even know what is wrong.
Alas, they turned out poorly. They’re useful for me to be able to remember what the place looks like, more or less, and I got a nice shot of the fireplace, but the place is generally not well-lit (but the person who loves to live in bright light might not be a good example here — I’ll just get an electrician in), so the rest of the photos are not great. Also, it’s painted darkish and dullish colours.
This makes me a little sad, because I had wanted to share photos. Realistically, I would not have done so anyhow. But still.
