Decorating: it gets old fast
I was initially so excited about things like this. Foolish foolish me.
I have now decided on my counter colour (greenish with gold). I have ordered one lamp, the one with the flowers draped around the bulb, for my bedroom. My grandparents are giving me their old chandelier. I need a few more (5?), which is this weekend’s trip, along with (a) the stupid futon already and (b) other stuff that has just slipped my mind.
Yes, I really should make lists but . . . right now what I really need to do is shower (my hair is dry and icky) and go up to the bank to get a bank draft for a lot of money and buy some oranges to zest for cookies. I hate zesting oranges.
Oh, a zester, I will need one of those. And ramekins.

I feel like a broken record, here, but I love the fact that your errand involves getting money to buy a house and cookie supplies.

I do not love the fact that I didn’t close a tag.

I like zesting oranges. I’d zest ‘em for you if I could.

Sheepish, but both are so important! One, because I need a down payment (by the way, nothing so stressful as walking around holding most of my net worth) and two because cookies!

Do I zest them wrong? I just seem to get my hands all zesty and — I don’t know, it’s slow and boring.
