Movie reviews
A friend won tickets to Shopgirl, so I went tonight. It was maybe worth the money I paid for it. But perhaps not. Still: movie! Getting out.
It was really nice to see her; it had been a while.

I’ve seen the trailers for it and all I can think is “he’s really old to be messing around with her, isn’t he?”
I guess all things are possible in the movies, eh? :)

Well, I could have coped with that — I mean, what movie isn’t that kind of crap in now? though I admit, all the focussing on his super old looking hands on her perfect body was somewhat icky — but he does this occasional (3-4 times in the movie) omniscient narrator stuff, where he says the most obvious stuff ever, as if, out of nowhere, Othello voices over that he is worried that Desdemona doesn’t *really* love him, and then at the end he says he really fucked up.
But really, the “old guy gets hot girl” thing just annoys me. Not that I was really voting for Jason Schwarzman, either. I was sort of hoping for a major apocalypse which would kill all the main characters but — alas! — they do not all die in a fiery death.
