Sweet
It is warm today, but grey and drizzly. No walks for me. And, alas, a poor night’s sleep last night.
Instead, I found out I am just like Sandra Bullock, only with way less money. I won the Miss Congeniality prize for highest calorie best dessrt in flea’s embarrassing meal contest: brownie pie, for when you can’t decide which dessert to have!
Every person I have ever given this to has mocked me, because apparently both pie crust and brownies are unhealthy enough on their own. (They mock, but they eat it anyhow. Because it’s really good.)
The recipe:
Make a pie crust (1c flour, 1/2c butter, etc.) Do not pre-bake it. Melt 1/2 cup butter with 3 oz unsweetened chocolate, let cool. Beat in 1 1/2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 3T corn syrup, vanilla. Mix these well so it doesn’t separate. Pour into the pie crust. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
You could buy a pie crust, too: I have actually never tasted a pre-made pie crust and have no idea if it would be as good. It would definitely be faster.
Enjoy! It goes well with ice cream, too.

congratulations! That certainly sounds infinitely better than any of the other recipes from the contest.

Um, yes. The other recipes scared me. A lot. Plus, I am in a super insane family (see above on “never tasted premade pie crust”), so we don’t have any of those kinds of recipes.
Plus chocolate is always delicious.
I should make this pie again.
