I seem to be totally incapable of solving part 7 of the Linguist List Lexicon: Game without Rules quiz. Mostly they’re pretty basic questions — up to now, only one has even required knowing anything at all about linguistics — and this looks like it should be as easy, but alas! (Truth be told, I haven’t done anything but tried to figure out the morphology in my head, then reconstruct it. But still.)

Off to chop off 4 or maybe 5 inches of hair. My grandparents “can’t get used to this colour”, but claim it’s not that it looks bad, it’s just different.

And now, probably due to the being sick, I am also depressed again. Whee! March has been fantastic!

of not going to see a doctor has continued to not get me anywhere. I’m no *worse*, but I’m no better either. Oh, and I am constantly freezing cold. And it’s warm out today, so really, I shouldn’t be.

I swear, my cat wants something from me. I, on the other hand, refuse to sit up. Does she want to play? She never wants to play with me. Maybe she’s lost her cat toys under the couch. I know there’s food and water, and the litter box is clean. She might want to go outside, but it’s not like I’d let her anyhow. I’m thinking maybe I should bring Sam over (some day not today when I can safely drive). But I don’t think she’s lonely.

Ha! I figured out how to stop depression-blogging, I can change it to whining-sick-blogging! Just as boring, but differently so. But the internet says that dizziness is usually not a sign of anything serious, so I will continue to ignore it.

Day two of being really really dizzy when I sit up. LUckily I can lie down a lot. Matilda is curled up next to me — a new thing for her — and is purring. If I weren’t really really sick, I’d be really happy.

Gah. I am now really not sitting up ok, so dizzy. I wish I had someone to take care of me. I also wish I were asleep.

I slept, or dozedish, for many hours. I can’t remember when I went to bed really — 5? 6? 7? –so I can’t figure out how long I slept. My head hurts a lot; I am unwilling to sit up, much less stand. (Yes I took Tylenol.)

I am so glad I bought apple juice yesterday. Though I have to drag myself to the kitchen (at least 10′ away from my bed!) to get more. Ow. Ow ow ow.

I’m thinking of heading to another pharmacy and getting the sleeping pills. Knowing I have those as an option will make me feel better. And then maybe I can get a heating pad, too (unavailable at the one I went to earlier) and the bubble bath I am looking for. I might need some more conditioner and scrunchies. I just have to get up and get dressed, which will be difficult.

Update: even more difficult when, just as I start to get up, my cat comes to sit on my leg.

My hair is done and drying . . . guess I’ll see later. It seems very dark but . . . hair colour is easy to change again.

I bought apple juice and saltines. I ate way too many saltines, but I was hungry. (And probably short on salt.)

I also went to the pharmacy, where I mistakenly bought nighttime cold pills instead of OTC sleeping pills. I am sad, but way too tired to go out and exchange them. I do not want to go out anywhere. I want to lie down. I have a call to amke at 2, then I am going to take a nap.

I think I fainted earlier today, though maybe I just fell asleep.

But I am feeling a little — very little — bit better. Hopefully it will last.
