Today I opened my fan. It is now blowing lovely cool air onto me. Why did I not do this before?

My fan is on too - but it’s blowing warm stale air. I’m jealous of your superior fan.

Works well as long as you circulate outside air in. Otherwise it can backfire!

It’s actually probably not circulating outside air in, because that would risk it falling outside and/or cat getting annoyed. But it is working remarkably well, or it did, last night: today there is a cool breeze coming in the window.
It was only a 10$ fan, too.

Hm, there’s probably more air volume where you are. I had this terrible experience where we obtained a fan (from my parents, so a $0 fan) and it just got hotter and hotter…
There’s unfortunately a lot of noise from the street here.

I’m in a remarkably quiet area, for downtown(ish). I wonder if the fan will be so effective once it heats up more here.
