I never run into people I know
Parents ran into parents of an old friend from elementary school. Here’s to hoping that I get up the guts to call her, and that we have something in common. I could certainly use more friends locally.

I could use more friends locally, too. I have colleague friends (who are all single), BF (who lives too far to away to socialize often), and SIL (who has a toddler who is spoiled rotten). B and I are just both so introverted and impatient with idle chatter that we do not cultivate the type of ties that would lead us to friends with families and thsu people just to hang with.
