I haven't lived with my parents for 17 years. I don't bother to send gifts to those weddings. I've decided that if they don't see me as a grownup, living in my own home, and have the courtesy to communicate with me directly as an adult, well, then I'll behave like a child. :) I still get invites to family weddings addressed to “Mr. and Mrs. Degree and Miss Terminal Degree.”

Don't you live in a different state? That's weird. We've not had any family weddings or bar mitzvahs in years (though one is coming up in 2 years, I think), so I have no idea what will happen.
