Not my week for cooking.
I tried to make Tarte Tatin, and totally burnt the caramel. I’ll probably try again on Sunday, or just make a normal apple pie, I haven’t decided. But — sigh. It looked so nice. I think I’ll make cookies now instead.

Ooo, tarte tatin is a staple at our house (though I’m not the one who cooks it). Yummy stuff, that. Too bad ’bout the burnt caramel.

Do you have a particular recipe you like? I’m using the one from Gourmet, but I’m willing to reconsider if I get a recommendation.
