Missing items report
I have found one of the two pairs of missing jeans. I bought one pair as a replacement, so I assume if I want pair number two to come back, I need to buy more jeans. But two pairs is sufficient.
A library book is missing, as well as lots of pairs of tights, my library card and my access card. Blogging will clearly not help, but I can’t keep purchasing stuff in order to find the old things.

You don’t have to buy new stuff — that’s just silly superstition. All you have to do is bring home bags of stuff, and don’t open them right away. The brownie doesn’t know what’s in the bags — it could be groceries; it could be clothes for all she knows. Then dial the weather phone or the time signal and say, “How are you doing? … Oh, I’ve been out shopping. I bought new jeans and lots of tights and I got a replacement library card and access card and I bought a copy of that library book I lost to give to the library. What have you been up to?” Go look in the closet and around the house while you’re talking on the phone. The brownie doesn’t know who you’re talking to. Just don’t open the bags until you find ALL the missing stuff.
