Trapped
The snow was snowier than I had thought, and I can’t get my car out based on the amount of effort I am willing to put in. (All of that effort went to clearing most of the snow off the car.) So I will stay in tonight, and hope that someone else goes in or out of the alleyway and tamp down the snow there, or that our snow clearing fellow comes and clears the snow, or that there’s a sudden warm spell (it’s not much below zero, after all), so I can be lazy tomorrow. Otherwise, I will shovel more tomorrow and hope I can find my treads. I wonder if clumping kitty litter is usable for traction.
So tonight, I will be staying at home. Maybe I will read by a fire. Maybe I will watch a movie. Maybe I will order pizza, if I can pay by credit card. Maybe I’ll find someone to chat with (email or comment or something if you’re online and bored — I have most of the major im accounts). I didn’t have any other plans. But I am less happily trapped than usual.

Clumping kitty litter does NOT improve traction. It makes it worse.
Of course that might not be a bad thing, if you have all the ingredients for desserts and plenty of books and nothing due at the library for a while….

Me, I went to Brossard, having found out that judo practice was cancelled. By public transit. Transit has the nice property that someone else empties the driveway for you. I hope the snow melts by Sunday so that I can go to Deux-Montagnes, which is not usefully reachable by public transit.

I rather figured as much, Cougar. In the end I took a bath and fell asleep, didn’t bake. But that’s ok.
Plam, I could have gone where I was going by public transit. But I didn’t really feel like going quite that much, since although I live near the metro, the other end isn’t, and I have no cash or tickets handy.
