a wolf angel is not a good angel

I have a few things on my mind, but I’m not sure how to talk about them. I’ve gotten out of the habit of writing about personal things (I never have been in the habit of talking about them, and I am continuing to be not talking about things), and I feel awkward trying to get back to it. (Also I have no idea if anyone is reading this anymore — I am more or less reading blogs, when bloglines deigns to let me know they’re updated, but I am heavy on the less commenting, and that tends to mean heavy on the less getting comments. I don’t check stats, so.)

I am not always sure I want to get back into the habit of writing highly personal stuff on the internet, either. I’m not sure if I don’t. I believe that writing things out is good for me, better than avoidance. But avoidance is easier, and the internet is public and permanent, at least for the near future.

I figure I’ll play with this meme now that everyone else has done it so no one will comment here. Hurray, I cheat to win!

Fair warning to Americans: if I have a trip planned there in December — not sure yet — I might wait to send it there, because Canadian postage is expensive, even before I calculate how much cheaper your dollar is. (I am not sure how long this will last, but I enjoy every single moment.)

Well, my slight hope that in writing something again, I would have something to say again washed out. I haven’t read anything good in ages, if I think any more about politics I will shoot myself — I haven’t even taken any cute cat pictures in a while. I’ve been madly antisocial, even for me, though I did have some lovely Indian food lately. Plus there was a portable tandoor right next to our table, and a small elephant with its butt hanging over the hole. Up there on the most unusual decor I have seen. On the surrounding few blocks, there are half a dozen Persian restaurants, including one called Pers-O-Mush, which is perhaps not the best restaurant name choice ever, despite being memorable.

This weekend I am headed to Maine, where I will be pleased about the dollar.

If my blog has come to this, I should not have bothered starting writing again.

I am still here, just without any interest in writing. But it’s a new month, and a new year (I was thinking of posting for the new year, but didn’t), and here’s a new post. Maybe this will inspire me for tomorrow, or at least make me feel guilty enough that I write the usual stupid uninspired stuff.

I’m not entirely sure what to write, now. I keep wanting to write, but not about anything, really. More food blogging? I could take cat-and-lizard photos, those would be interesting. I could write more about tv, or the semi-trashy novels I’m reading! Uninspiring.

I know this kind of post is the most boring kind, but really, I’m just hoping that if I accept that I am not writing anything intelligent but that this is fine, because it’s just a blog, I will get back into posting regularly. I’ll make it a goal to post every day for the next 10 days. Maybe that will help me decide what I want to do with this place.

Yet again, my feed, it is not updating.

So it turns out that all these blogs I thought haven’t been updating? Have been. I assume they’ve all switched over to (evil and obnoxious) blogger beta (where I cannot comment unless anon comments are allowed, as it logs me out of gmail to comment), so all the feeds have crapped out. Or something similarly stupid and annoying, but certainly about blogger beta. Time to go over my bloglines accounts.

And I think I’m in the mood to redo my links. Time to be lazy! Go leave your link in the comments.

I posted something last night, then noticed this morning it wasn’t there, because I got a confirmation screen asking if I were sure I wanted to post. I have never seen that before, and I hope not to see it again. What idiot programmed that in?
